Birthdays are special days in every person’s life. They are even more special when you get to celebrate it in a beautiful castle in Europe. Willi ( our Mommy/coordinaor) knows how to make someone feel special on their birthday. My birthday was pretty much celebrated all day with cake and coffee in the afternoon, and dinner at an Indian restaurant called ”Bollywood.” My special day was filled with friendship, love, and wonderful friends!!!
It has almost been a month that we have been living in Strasbourg now. The Chateau feels like home. I have not yet felt homesick, and I don’t want to think about having to leave this place in 2 months. Some of the highlights of the past two weeks were our visit to the European Court of Human Rights, our visit to EUROCORPS, and most importantly our visit to Brussels, Belgium.
Strasbourg is home to many European Institutions. One of the best things about this program is that we get to visit the instituitions that we are learning about in class. During our visits we usually have one on one interaction with one of the members of the institution. On our visit to the European Court of Human Rights, we learned about the role of the court in the EU, some of the in

teresting cases that come to the court, the court’s procedures, etc…
Another interesting visit was the visit to the Eurocorps - a force of the European Union and the Atlantic Alliance. Again, we leared about the internal operations of this organization and its role in the EU and worldwide.
